Rack Ears (for 19" Rack) for a Consumer CD Player

I want to mount "rack ears" on a consumer CD player and install it into a standard 19" equipment rack. Do people sell aftermarket rack ears? Where do you get them?

a quick froogle search for rack-mount brackets returned some good looking links. this one in particular seems good.

Response by poster: I want to put a CD player in my gear rack to play backing tracks for live music (clicktracks, samples, etc.), but I don't need and don't want to pay for one of these fancy rackmounted professional jobs. A plain ol' ordinary consumer CD player will do just fine, and you can get one of those for about $15-$20 used. I'm hoping that somebody, somewhere, makes and sells the brackets I would need to mount one of these things in an equipment rack, so I can skimp on the CD player and thus have more money to spend on my next synth.

I've spent a while google-searching, but haven't turned up anything useful. I think I'm not searching for the right thing, but I don't really know what the right thing is.

How about rack-mount shelves? (sliding version here) Cheap, easy, and it seems like it'd work for you. And you can put all manner of gear on 'em, so you don't need to worry about finding an 18" wide CD player.

You may need to tack down the CD player with Velcro or something similar so it doesn't slide all over the place while you're moving the rack, but that's easy too.

ooh, I see my links got fux0red. Try going to Markertek.com and searching for "Utility Shelf." Part # US1 (1 rack space) or US2 (2 rack spaces high.) They also have other rack shelves there. (but alas, no permalinks.)
