IP over Firewire in Vista

I see that Microsoft has quietly dropped IP networking over Firewire/1394 from Windows Vista. Is there any possible way to enable it, using third-party drivers or software?

Unibrain is selling an SDK for their products, which purports to allow developers to create IP over Firewire streaming applications using various of their PCI adapters, on both 32 and 64 bit Vista.

Response by poster: It's a start, but I am mainly looking for something that will just restore the old windows firewire functionality.
