Quartz Composer Alternative?

Are there any [cool and easy to use] Windows alternatives to Apple's "Quartz Composer?"

I want to set up some electronic signage at the school I work at, and Quartz would really do the trick. But before I buy a couple of Macs I wanted to know if I had any other options.

Thanks!

Take a look at vvvv and Processing.

Seconding Panic for what it's worth. From my understanding, vvvv is a bit closer in interface to Quartz Composer, but Proce55ing is pretty sweet too, and has the added benefit of being Java-based so if you happen to be familiar with Java already you are way ahead of the game.

I have the experience that Processing is pretty slow for most uses and isn't that expandable. It's not a very original suggestion, but using Flash might be quite usable for such an application. The new Flash version that comes with CS3 has an updated Actionscript language which is very good.
