Help estimate living costs in New Delhi

Need help estimating living costs in New Delhi My company is considering sending me to New Delhi for 2 months and I need to come up with an estimate of how much I would need to expense. I already know how much flights would be so this is more a question about living arrangements. I have been to Delhi twice so I know the city and how much food costs are when you eat out. But as far as where the good neighborhoods to live and how much rent is generally.. i'm not sure.

I would like to rent a nice 1 or 2 bedroom apartment in a modernized building, it would have to have internet access and TV. Preferably where there are other expat working professionals mixed in with other Indian people.

Also, separately, how much would it cost to hire a driver and a cook?

Thanks for your help.

Response by poster: This is what our account manager for our Indian company just told me. Not sure how accurate it is but I think he knows what he's talking about. These prices are per month (currently 40 INR = $1 USD)

2BR in the heart of delhi - 25,000-50,000 INR
Utilities - Approx 3000 INR
Car - 15-20,000 INR
Driver - 5000 INR
Food - 7000 INR
Cook / Maid - 3000 INR

Rough total = $2000 USD a month to live pretty.
