Is there any way to import OpenWiki data to MediaWiki other than manually? I'd hate to have to do it by hand.

If you have a script monkey on staff this should be a one or two banana problem to do 90% of the work. But if you want off the shelf tools you might have a hard time. There are dozens (hundreds?) of wikis available so writing even a moderately useful converter could take a great deal of effort.

I don't think there should be a formal standard for wiki markup but there needs to be a standard XML import/export format. Until that happens we are sort of stuck with a clumsy vendor lock-in.

Does OpenWiki have a SQL backend? If so then yeah you're probably looking at some SQL script wrangling to move from one set of tables to another.
