Hiring a stripper in Vegas?

I'd like advice about hiring a stripper in Vegas.

As the best man, I'm organizing a bachelor party in Vegas to take place a few months from now. There will be either 4 or 5 guys present; the least nerdy of us is a software engineer. We're all clean-cut, healthy, late 30's, well-off, have girlfriends, fiancees, or wives (who, incidentally, have all vetted this plan as described.)

For various reasons, we've decided to hire a stripper. It wasn't entirely my idea but I am definitely tasked with carrying it out and I'm not opposed to doing so. I want to explain what we have in mind and run it by the AskMe community for advice.

We'll have a couple of linked suites at one of the highest-end hotels at the north end of the Strip. What I'd like is for a young woman to come over and spend maybe 2 hours entertaining us in the suite with her nudity and her dancing talent. We're a bunch of nerds so I'm kind of counting on the dancer being able to break the ice a little bit - in other words, we want to hire a professional. Someone with skills in the entertainment department, not just a pair of boobs.

I'm thinking that I could plug my iPod into the hotel's little alarmclock/stereo and play some 80's pop-metal tunes (Van Halen, AC/DC.) We're absolutely opposed to breaking any laws, getting rowdy, or annoying any other hotel guests. (We don't mind skirting a hotel guideline about this not being an approved use of their room, and we may be slightly tipsy, but we will not be falling down drunk.)

We're absolutely not interested in having sex, oral sex, simulated sex, or anything else involving body fluids with this dancer. We're not opposed to paying top dollar for a good time, but we'd like it to be good, relatively clean fun.

Finally, it's somewhat important that she be a natural redhead. The last time I was involved with this kind of shindig, we asked for a blonde and didn't get one, and that was sort of disappointing. I'd really like to know how to make this detail work out.

Questions: 1) How do I find this dancer? Where do I start? Whom do I call? A recommendation for an agency or a dancer, ideally based on personal experience, would be great. I'd really like to avoid accidentally hiring a skanky meth-head.

2) Is this plan reasonable? Can you offer any advice in making this a more responsible, lawful, or enjoyable experience? Are there any pitfalls to avoid? What else should I know?

3) If you wish to contribute your opinion that we should not do this, could you please confine yourself to one (1) concise, well-reasoned reply? I'd prefer that a long, derailing discussion on that topic go instead to MetaTalk, where I can more easily ignore it.

Throwaway email: askme.redhead@gmail.com. Mail to this account will be kept private and confidential to the best of my ability.

Thanks.

If you're staying in a high-end hotel, how about calling the concierge desk there and asking if it's something they can help you with? I'm sure they've gotten more bizarre requests before. You can always call ahead of time and not give your name if you're concerned with them telling you not to do it.

2 hours is a very long time for 1 dancer to be the main entertainment anywhere. Particularly if the dancer is going to be nude (unless you're going to run the suite temperature up around 80 degrees). So, you might ought to be thinking about several dancers, and set the budget accordingly.

As for hiring a "natural redhead," I'll simply say that in these days of technological perfection, you might not know the difference between "natural" and not. But you could ask an agency like Sin City Striptease for advice in planning your party. Personally, I think you'd be happier at a strip club, but you obviously don't.

How do I find this dancer? Where do I start?

Either talk to your hotel concierge, or ask a bouncer at any of the strip clubs in town - they can usually work deals with the dancers in the club for room visits and such. Alternately, ask a cab driver - although more often than not, the cab driver references run towards the skanky end of things.

Is this plan reasonable? Can you offer any advice in making this a more responsible, lawful, or enjoyable experience? Are there any pitfalls to avoid? What else should I know?

If you do the party right, the words "Vegas" and "Reasonable" don't end up in the same sentence. But to answer your question, yeah, it's reasonable. Prepare for it not to be cheap, though. And, two dancers for one hour is a far better idea than one dancer for two hours.

We're absolutely opposed to breaking any laws, getting rowdy, or annoying any other hotel guests.

You'll be the only ones. hahaha. Anyway, you mention that you want to hire "professionals" - by and large, professionals will bring their own music because they have a routine they've worked up to it. So if you're set on using your own music, make sure they know this beforehand.

Last but not least, always, always arrange a price beforehand, do not wait until they get there.

To get the girl you want you need to book her - so take a look at the websites of clubs/ agencies and ask to book specific girls with the desired attributes. Of course, that's only if a recon mission is out of the question? :)

oh - for agencies/ clubs just google 'las vegas strippers'. I'll eat my g-string if there's not plenty of results.
