Trench Coat ID

I recently lost my favorite trench coat, and hope to buy a new one. Only problem is, Idon't remember the brand! Can you help me ID it?

It wasn't a full length trench coat. That is to say, not like a duster or one that goes all the way down your legs pretty much. It stopped around my mid-thigh. The inside fabric looked like the burberry pattern. What I remember of the logo was that it was a German eagle in red thread. Very much like this except.. y'know not all nazi-fied. The brand of the coat too, if I'm not mistaken, was German.

I'll see if I can dig up any photos other than this awful halloween photo (that's me in the fedora) for reference, but I'm hoping the burberry and the eagle will be clues enough for some trenchcoat connoisseur.

Armani sometimes uses a german eagle logo, in their Emporio Armani line - did it look like that?

Response by poster: Hrm, no. It was more like the German eagle. Long wings and all that.

Was it wool? It looks far too heavy to be a trench. Are you sure it was a trench coat?

Yeah.. it looks a lot more like a wool overcoat to me than a trench. I know this isn't the brand, but is this kind of what it looked like?

Response by poster: It was not a wool overcoat. I'm not sure what the material was but it seemed like whatever material they normally use in water proof/resistant trench coats. It was raining yesterday, which is what caused me to finally ask about the coat.

gatorae: It looked sort of like that. Like I said I'll look about for better photos.

Response by poster: Actually thanks for the link, gatorae. It's very very similar to these styles of jacket. Perhaps it isn't a trench coat after all! But still, I wish I knew the brand...
