How do I get a section of the CFR into one, convenient PDF?

I'm trying to get a section of the US Code of Federal Regulations into one PDF file, but joining the different files in Acrobat gives me a ton of duplicate pages. Is there an easy way to remove duplicate pages? A better formatted version of the CFR? I have access to both Mac and PC.

I know of another version, at least. No idea if it's better.

Duh, you said CFR. Sorry.

I have done the same exact thing, but with some of the 45 CFRs and 21 CFRs.

If you have Acrobat Pro, you can view the pages in a panel to the left and delete the extra pages in the panel.

I'm sure there is a free or cheapo PDF editor for Mac OS X that will let you do this. Might even be in the OS.

Interestingly, this version is also on GPO.gov, but looks completely different.

My approach would be to hack together a text or HTML file with the relevant sections, and then print it to PDF using PrimoPDF or a similar utility (or can a mac just print to PDF all by itself?).

If you're no good with HTML, you can probably work it out in MS Word rather than actually diddling with the code.

If I need to grab big chunks, I usually google for the Title title - State governments or other agencies have often already put the thing together for their own convenience.

You may also find the Electronic CFR helpful.

If you copy and paste this, you'll have to clean up some formatting issues, but you'll avoid page duplication.

Copy the text you want to a file in Word or another editor, then convert it to a PDF for free on Adobe's website. (You get 5 free conversions.)
