I'm looking for a photographer featured in a gallery in Breckenridge, Co.

Two years ago I went on a trip to Breckenridge, Colorado and we went to a great little photographer's gallery. Unfortunately it was dark and we were using the hotel shuttle so I have no idea what street it was on. As far as I remember, the gallery was exclusive to this photographer, but he was not local to the area. He had a few (possibly 3 or 4?) other galleries around the country as well.

His photos were absolutely gorgeous, some of the most beautiful I'd ever seen. The main thing I remember is that his photos had absolutely brilliant color, everyone commented on the great color. His photos were also primarily (exclusively?) landscapes and wildlife. I remember particularly that he had a whole series (new at the time, I think) on polar bears and possibly penguins.

Help me Mefi! His photos were spectacular and I would love to find him again to make a couple purchases.

Best answer: A guess: Gary Crandall? He does landscapes and has shot a lot of wildlife, including polar bears, and his photographs are saturated with color. I found a current list of art galleries in Breckenridge here, and one mentions Crandall. If not him, maybe one of those other gallery names will ring a bell.

Response by poster: iconomy,

Aha! It is not Gary Crandall (though much in the same genre, and next time I'm in Breck I'll check his gallery out) but the Thomas Mangelsen linked in that link. I was having a hard time telling whether it was Crandall or Mangelsen until I hit this polar bear photo I specifically remember in the gallery.

I do see that he has far more galleries than I remember, though.

So... thank you so much! This has been bugging me for months and you helped me find it in about 1/2 hour. I love Ask.MeFi and you're my new hero.
