Where can I find comprehensive ratings information for The Simpsons?

I have tried looking around for information on Simpsons ratings, but I have had trouble finding a definitive source for comparing the ratings throughout the year. Does anyone know of a good website with a searchable database for TV ratings?

Are the user ratings like those at tv.com what you're looking for?

Clearly means ratings as in 'how many people watched the show'. Right?

I was thinking ratings as in 'This episode is rated TV-G.'

Nielsen cracks down on sites that try to do this. Proprietary data, etc.

Some spot numbers going way back can be found at alt.tv.simpsons "Nielsen ratings".

Right, you're looking for Nielsen numbers. But the problem is that you have to pay a lot of money to get access to them, and the sites that do pay (like tv.com, yahoo, zap2it, etc) have very strict contractual rules about how they can display the stats. For example they aren't allowed to put them in tabular or graph form, only as a textual article. And I think they have restrictions on not archiving these posts too.
