Hustle, Series 2, who did the dog paintings?

In the BBC show Hustle, series 2, the gang stays at a hotel in London decorated with huge dog portraits. They're straight on, un-ironic portraits of dog faces. They're fabulous. Does anyone know who painted them?
Best answer: That would probably be the Sanderson, an Ian Schrager hotel designed by Philippe Starck. I don't know who created the dog portraits, though.

Best answer: This is not an answer, but has the best image I could find.

Better. Still not great. I feel flickr is failing me.

Has anyone thought to call the Sanderson hotel, or, for that matter, Kudos, the company that produces Hustle. You might be able to contact the production designer.

Response by poster: Those are the paintings, although the hotel isn't called the Sanderson in the series. (They stay there all season.) Not having much luck with Google on the painter, though, I might have to call the hotel.

parmanparman, the dog portraits predate the show, so the production designer is not likely to know. The hotel or Starck himself (read: whichever intern answers e-mail) is a better lead.

It's indeed the Sanderson (I stay there when in London). You can see some of the portraits in the hotel's visual tour; particularly the VRML of the Long Bar (which roger ackroyd's links depict).
As deadfather suggests, contact Starck's company. His PR folks might be of help in getting an answer for you - press@starcknetwork.com or Morgans Hotel Group (which Schrager founded) which owns the Sanderson. The paintings are resident on the property and the production company may not even have a clue as to their provenance.
You can contact the Sanderson and Morgans Hotel Group here (e-mail and telephone).
