Is there a Pollstar type website for public speakers, lectures, and book readings?

I know when a gnat farts a hundred miles away when it comes to bands touring, since I'm on the mailing list of every band that I like. I also get alerts from Pollstar about new dates being added.

But...Al Gore is speaking next Tuesday in Indy, which I would drive to (and then, you know, buy trees to offset the exhaust from my car or something) , had I know about it and bought tickets before they sold out.

I've caught a fair number of book readings and lectures and the like by closely following the local papers, but these things are exactly advertised very well. Is there a website I can go to for that?

Upcoming.org tends to be good about this stuff.
