A shockingly wet digital camera?

Can anyone recommend a point and shoot digital camera that is both water resistant and shock resistant? This is to be a gift for my daughter who both snorkles and chases after her three-year-old son.

The Olympus Stylus 770 SW

What Burhanistan said.

I recommend a Casio Exilim model. They take very nice photos, are super small and durable so you can carry them everywhere, quick to boot up (so you can take a photo on 2 seconds notice. Good when children are involved) and have water cases available for reasonable prices.

I second the Stylus 770. Haven't seen anything close (except for a waterproof Canon p&s but I can't remember the model).

I have an Optio 33WR, which is water-resistant and has rubber corners for durability. I think it's been replaced by now with the similar but slightly more advanced 43WR. I've taken it kayaking, dropped it, etc. and it's still trucking. And dunking.

The Olympus mentioned above is both water and shock resistent. The Optio (Pentax) doesn't make claims about shock. Both also claim dust resistence.

The water-proof housings sold for other cameras I've looked at are close to the cost of the entire camera!

Neither the Olympus nor the Pentax have a view-finder, both rely on the screen for aiming. Personally, that bothers me. (I've been shopping for such a camera just recently)
