Where can I buy an official-design full-size Flemish Flag online? If the official version isn't available, I'd settle for the all-black type.

Is the official design all black, or black and red like this one?

Response by poster: This is the modern official design. That looks like a weird historic version..

As long as you tell me you're not with Vlaams Blok, I'll look for it for you.

Response by poster: I am most certainly not with Vlaams Blok, hence my preference for the red and black version. It's my understanding that this has less of an association with Flemish seperatist groups.

I've just found a store that sells them, but the proceeds would appear to go to the Vlaamse Volksbeweging, which I am unfamiliar with. Are they right wingers as well? I'd rather not support any political groups, but right wingers espescially.

Hard to tell if they are right or left, from that site, but they are certainly Flemish separatists. Which I had never heard of, but I shouldn't be surprised -- we have have Vermont separatists up my way here.

Anyway, looks like this site is non-partisan and has both kinds of Flemish flags, along with Flemish socks, etc.

According to Wikipedia, Vlaanderen Vlagt work together with the VVB and their leader used to be the leader of VVB, so I doubt the two groups differ much in their political views.

Again according to Wikipedia, the VVB belongs to the more radical wing in the Vlaams beweging and its members range from the extreme left to the extreme right.
(I know next to nothing about Belgian politics, just translating.)

Response by poster: Hm. So still no politically neutral flag vendor... aren't any non-fanatic flemish persons interested in their local flag?

Googling in French led me to this shop, they're definitely not Flemish separatists, but the flag is a lot more expensive there.

Oh, or try this one (that's actually the shop from your link in the original question).

Remember, a good Flemmish is a good Belgian.

(Sorry, I don't remember how to say it in Dutch, and couldn't help but contribute that bit of Belgian propaganda. I'm married to a fabulous Belgian)

The Flemmish flag is beautiful. What a pity it's become so associated with the wingnuts.
