Domain Registrars in Canada?

I'm looking for a reliable, cheap, not awful Canadian domain name registrar. Kindly recommend away.

there've been a couple for American sites, but I haven't seen any for Canadian registrars.

Thanks, gang!

Best answer: I've used NamesPro successfully ... all the other registrars I've tried gave me a hard time.

I've used for the last two years. No hiccups yet (that I'm aware of, anyway.) $12.88 CDN a year.

I've been using NamesPro for close to 3 years now. No problems on my end.

n'th for NamesPro. Though I've only been using them for a few months.

My mother has had a few domains registered through for a couple years and there haven't been any problems with them.

I use and have had no problems. But namespro does seem to have better prices, at least for .ca.

Response by poster: thanks again, folks - I went with NamesPro. It turns out that they're local, too.

I guess if I have any problems I can head down there and get them dealt with in person.

I'm curious, why did you specifically want a Canadian registrar?

For what it's worth to others, Tucows is Canadian, but they don't deal directly with consumers except through DomainDirect.

I've used for both domain and hosting and found them to be much better than godaddy. (if that says much)

Response by poster: FB: I wanted .ca domains, so it had to be a CIRA verified registrar.

I've been a happy EasyDNS customer for more than four years. They are CIRA certified.

Second for domainsatcost, even though the job is already done. I have a number of domains registered there (.ca and otherwise) and have been pleased with their service and customer support when I needed it.

Best answer: heeeraldo - had a feeling that might be the case. For future reference here is the link to the list of .ca registrars.
