Domain Registrars in Canada?

I'm looking for a reliable, cheap, not awful Canadian domain name registrar. Kindly recommend away.

there've been a couple for American sites, but I haven't seen any for Canadian registrars.

Thanks, gang!

I've used 10dollar.ca to register two Canadian domains with out any problems.

Best answer: I've used NamesPro successfully ... all the other registrars I've tried gave me a hard time.

I've used namespro.ca for the last two years. No hiccups yet (that I'm aware of, anyway.) $12.88 CDN a year.

I've been using NamesPro for close to 3 years now. No problems on my end.

My mother has had a few domains registered through Domainsatcost.ca for a couple years and there haven't been any problems with them.

Response by poster: thanks again, folks - I went with NamesPro. It turns out that they're local, too.

I guess if I have any problems I can head down there and get them dealt with in person.

I'm curious, why did you specifically want a Canadian registrar?

For what it's worth to others, Tucows is Canadian, but they don't deal directly with consumers except through DomainDirect.

I use netfirms.ca.

I've used www.sibername.com for both domain and hosting and found them to be much better than godaddy. (if that says much)

Response by poster: FB: I wanted .ca domains, so it had to be a CIRA verified registrar.

I've been a happy EasyDNS customer for more than four years. They are CIRA certified.

Second for domainsatcost, even though the job is already done. I have a number of domains registered there (.ca and otherwise) and have been pleased with their service and customer support when I needed it.

Best answer: heeeraldo - had a feeling that might be the case. For future reference here is the link to the list of .ca registrars.
