O' Valencia: Where to stay during Las Fallas

So I've been wanting to go to Las Fallas in Valencia for years now and am finally going in a couple weeks. I just don't have lodging. Any suggestions?

I've seen a few hostels for around $50 or so a night, but was hoping there would be something cheaper. Does anyone happen to know of a super-secret place that has clean sheets and is pennies on the dollar?

Okay, I'm probably asking for too much.

With the exchange rate it is doubtful. If you can hook up with a few other people you can rent an apartment for a week and save some money that way. Good luck.

I slept on the beach but that was years ago, be careful if you do that, it might be dangerous...

Whatever it costs, just go. I went with friends from Valencia when I was younger and I'll never forget it - a completely amazing experience.

Make sure you make the mascletá, which occurs in the Plaza Anyuntamiento at 2pm.

The only downside is that every firework's display I've seen in the ~15yrs since has been a complete let down.
