Do they sell low-flavor drink mixes to add to water?

Do they sell low-flavor drink mixes to add to water? I love Aquafina's Flavor Splash water, but they don't have it in the vending machine at work. I can't stand the plain bottled water they do sell. Does anyone sell powder mix that can be added to water that doesn't turn it into a super sweet, heavily flavored drink? Stuff like Crystal Lite is too strong of a flavor.

You can add as little or as much flavored drink mix as you want.

If you find the Crystal Lite too strong, it will probably be the same with other brands... Can you try using just half of the packet at a time, for a lighter flavor? Just save the other half for your next serving.(Plus, it would save you money too)

Walmart sells their own brand of flavored water mix. It is not as strong as Crystal lite, and it is cheaper. You don't have to use the whole stick. Hope this is helpful.

Have you considered just squeezing a little lime juice in? Thats what I do.

Yes, a single lemon or lime flavors a lot of water. It is a good way to go and has the extra benefit of being natural.

I also do the lime juice. And a touch of salt. Ridiculously delicious in seltzer water, too.

I got some free sample packets of TrueLemon a while back and used them to flavor my water. It was tasty and much more convenient than carrying a lemon around in my purse.

I'm totally thirding the lemon juice. You can even get away with bottled lemon juice, if you don't want to fuss with fresh lemon all the time. (I don't enjoy bottled lime, but fresh lime is obviously also great.)

There are Kool-Aid flavors that come in those individual tubes that have sugar, unlike most of the others that are sugar-free. I like them because they do not have so much flavor, nor are they very sweet - most of the sugar falls to the bottom and doesn't dissolve before I've finished. The "fake" sugar ones are way too sweet, I think because that fake sugar dissolves right away. You could add less too, obviously.

Fourthing lemon juice. I just use one of those little squirty lemons. You need just the tiniest bit.

I find a dash of Sucrolose lightens up the filtered water at work quite nicely, making it taste very similar to Coca Cola's _Propel_ line of flavored water (which has more Sucrolose in it).

Nthing the Lemon Juice. Crystal Light or powdered Gatorade is also nice in water, if you use it at 1/4 or less of its original concentration. I used to do this when backpacking to cover up the taste of iodine-purified water. As you noted, it's pretty strong at full strength, but just a touch will be a good change of pace.

I keep a bottle of lemon juice in the fridge at home and at work, and throw a splash in a big cup of ice water. It's my favorite drink.

I've also heard Howard Stern say he puts a splash of cranberry juice in seltzer water.

@stefane: That TrueLemon looks awesome!! Thanks for the link.

Nuun sells little fizzy tablets for electrolyte replacement that make your water taste like low sugar, low flavor gatorade, kind of. Very tasty. Also, they cure hangovers.

I use drink mixes regularly and I use the Walmart always-save brand, about 3/4 of the packet. I did find at the store recently packets to make it taste like the Propel fitness water. Don't know if you've had that before but it's a fairly light flavor.

Found this out by accident but, instead of using two of the tubs of Crystal Light to make a gallon, just use one. It's considerably "toned down" and not bad at all. I agree with you that it's normally a little too sweet.
