My tracks rule. The world needs to see them.

Have you played the linerider game? If not, you should. It's incredibly fun. If so, I have a question about it....

If you click on Movies you can see tracks that other people have made and saved, then uploaded to youtube. Also, in the About section it says, "Fans quickly noticed that they could create tracks, set them to music, and share them over YouTube.com". However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to save my tracks to any kind of video. I can save them using the the little "save" icon - but how do I turn them into video so I can share them with the world?

Anyone? Anyone?

Firstly, I'll second you: everyone should play this game.

As for the movies, I'm sure there are programs that 'film' what's happening inside a window that you have open. I can't for the life of me remember the name and wouldn't have a clue what to search for, but I'm sure someone will come along to help you out.

If you're on a Mac, you can capture it with Snapz Pro X, which will allow you to capture a window or a selection at up to 30fps and save to a Quicktime.

Best answer: Over at Linerider.org there are quite a few programs for recording your tracks and in their forum (which appears to be down right now) there is a lot of good advice about how to accomplish this best.

Response by poster: Unfortunately I'm on a PC. Is there a way to do it from that platform? I figured it would be part of the game somewhere, but it sounds like people are saying you have to use third-party software to do this.

Just as an fyi, in the linerider thread in the blue linerider.org is referred to as "this lame-ass spam site". I don't know anything about it, but maybe be careful giving any info to that site?

Wow, he changed the game today (added a little bulls-eye for the starting point, which can be moved), and my saves from yesterday disappeared. :(

Oh, I figured it out. Flash uses different save areas depending on whether you go to www.official-linerider.com or official-linerider.com. All my saves are still around.
