I need to create an employee manual using only Microsoft Word 2000. Help!

I need to be able to make a simple booklet-style manual in Word. 8.5 x 11 pages folded in half to make a 4.25 x 5.5 book. No complicated publishing tricks- all the typing and formatting can be done in Word, I just need to figure out how to set it up. The finished product will be about 50 pages (50 4.25 x 5.5 pages).

I am pretty sure Word can do this, because I see there is a booklet setting in the print menu box, but I don't know how to initially set it up so that I can print it as a booklet.

Sorry if this isn't totally clear- I don't understand the more complicated Word features very well. Please talk to me like a six year old when you answer!!

Hello ohio. The back roads...

Right, this seems pretty simple. I'm pretty sure all you have to do is change the page size. Go "File" --> "Page setup" then go to the paper tab, and type in the values you're working with. Then go to the margins tab and change your preferences accordingly.

When it's time to print, go File --> Print, and in the "Zoom" box, by Pages per sheet, make sure it says 2 pages, and that "no scaling" is selected from "scale to paper size."

Best answer: Hello! Here are a couple of links that may help. Here is one for Microsoft's instructions. Here is another one that may help. I will keep checking but I would bet that someone has a template for this. Good luck, wish you well and Happy Holidays!

Try this link as well. It is a little more to the point and simple.
