Who were the country musicians on COLD CASE tonight?

Most supposed bands on TV shows suck but tonights C&W act ('The Sugar Boys'?) on COLD CASE were excellent, and the songs were strong too. They had to be real musicians. Any clues?

They have a track listing on the official website.

Wow - I was just getting online to ask the same thing! (Coincidentally I was also listening to the unsane earlier this evening).

I'm generally not a country music fan but dug the music in the show. Who would have thought that Tug's son could sing so well?

Response by poster: I'm not sure, but I think the track listing only deals with the soundtrack music, as opposed to performed music.

Response by poster: IMDB Pro for this episode has Truck Sugar played by Shaun Benson (a Canuck, I think) but the music credits are not broken out separately.

It didn't look like he was lip-syncing but I could be wrong.

I saw this question just as I was sitting down for my Sunday night Cold Case cry-fest! The end credits of the actual show only list "Counting my Lucky Stars" as being written by Mike Stinson, same as theiconoclast's track listing. You can listen to some of Stinson's music there and his voice sounds quite different to me so the actor could have been singing. The song that Truck and Edie sing is definitely that song -and it's a great song!

Could it be Tim Mcgraw?

"Tim McGraw served as inspiration for the country-music plot in tonight's Cold Case, and as a reward, his music will be featured throughout the 8 p.m. show."

It took almost a week, but I finally found this. The male singer is Larry Bagby, though I'm not sure who did the female lead on the duet. He has an absolutely gorgeous voice, doesn't he? I wish I could find more duets with these two; I love the way their voices mesh.

You can find the song on his my space page.

And here I've been sneering at My Space for all this time. Who knew?

Response by poster: Diamondsky, yes, he has a terrific voice. Thank you. How did you find it?

I looked around a bunch last week, and just kept coming up with dead ends. I really wanted a copy of the song. I e-mailed the writer, Mike Stinson, through his My Space profile, but hadn't heard back yet. I found some information that indicated the song was originally scheduled to be sung by Dan Janisch. I'm not sure why they changed it at the last minute, but I'm glad I looked around because I enjoyed learning about Dan anyhow. I really like the song Sweet and Simple that's up on his My Space.

Anyway, I have a couple of customers that work in the TV industry and one of them was able to get Larry Bagby's name for me. I googled him and his My Space popped right up.
