Anyone have any experience submitting a website to coolsiteoftheday.com? Is it worth the expense? How stiff is the competition?

coolsite used to be cool, in like 1998 or something. then the current owners took over, whored it out, and obliterated its usefulness. avoid at all costs.

Response by poster: It's still ranked pretty high by Alexa though :\

Lots of sites that nobody really uses are still ranked high by Alexa. Coolsiteoftheday.com, being a historical site, naturally has tons of hyperlinks to it. The question is, does anyone actually follow those hyperlinks and then actively use the site? I seriously doubt that this is the case.

Ahh, reminds me of the good old days when sites had "Awards" pages that listed the bazillion (conveniently back-linked) trophy GIFs from "Joe Blows Most Awesome Of The Web This Morning" sites. Good times, good times...

Skip it, banished. Don't waste your time or money.
