Does crack/cocaine burn blue when smoked or freebased?

I know my neighbors across the street are smoking *something* in their open garage very late at night (2-4 am)

I can see the small blue orb being passed and getting brighter and dimmer at each turn

Ive talked to them briefly a few times. They definitely seem cracked out

The real problem is, 10-20 cars come and go from their house at all times of the day and night, so I'm pretty sure they are dealing too

Any ideas on what is being smoked?

No, crack smoke is silver-white, though it's called "smoking the blue" when a butane flame is used.

I know a few crackheads and as far as I know, they use clear glass pipes made from lab glass. It's a pretty good bet that if it's a colored pipe, it's weed.

Definitely a blue glass marijuana pipe. My friend (yes, my friend, not me) has one that I've seen smoked in the dark and it has the eerie glowing blue orb appearance you speak of.

They are smoking pot (or, doubtfully, tobbaco).

Either that or there is an alien living in their garage.

Or both.

A crack pipe would not get passed and would not stay lit between passes.

Response by poster: are there any drugs that burn white? when i say blue, i guess I should say its got a slightly blue tint, but the fact that im a good 200-300 ft away, i should've just said its white.

also, it may not have been passed, someone could have been pacing... it was really dark, the whiteish blue orb is all i could see

lets just say I have friend whos got a PhD in THC, but im gonna go ahead and insist that they arent smoking pot...

not that they couldnt be smoking pot, i just dont think that either of them would feel the need to go out into the garage or sit outside in their car (which has also happened) to smoke it ... they aren't living with their parents

I walked out my door one time and saw a cracky smoking across the street in the park - he was using what I suspect was butane torch which had a bluish flame. A torch wouldn't stay lit (hopefully, because you could burn yourself / start a fire) for more than a hit though in my opinion.

Blue pot pipe sounds reasonable.

I suppose you could buy some cheap binoculars - that'd put you right up in their business, though it still may be hard to tell what they are doing.

Also, I don't know what your feelings are about drugs, but if this was happening across the street from me I'd call the cops.

Maybe they are meth heads that don't like to share their weed with the people inside the house (or their heads).

It could also be a tiny, single LED flashlight that is going back and forth and getting pointed towards you and away from you, or perhaps a cell phone that someone is talking on and pacing.

Something that burns white is either unusual, such as magnesium, or is really hot. In either case you don't smoke it.

It's pot, and if they aren't causing a nuisance then leave them alone. If you must do something, a friendly warning should be enough to scare them from being so "open" about it.

What do you mean "cracked out"? Crackheads are definitely of a different temperament than potheads, should be easy to tell the difference.

If it's only happening late at night, my money would be on pot. Crack isn't a "hey, let's slip out for a nip before we retire" kind of drug.

It doesn't sound like crack or meth. to me.
How exactly are they "cracked out", are they mildly incoherent (pot) or shaky lunatics (crack or meth).

Also, people coming and going at all hours of the night doesn't neccessarily indicate that they're dealing. In college I lived with a heap of roommates, lived in a non-college neighborhood and we had people coming and going all the time, but none of us were drug dealers.

Are they causing any real problems in the neighborhood? Noise? Vandalism?

The brighter/dimmer and passing around seems like a bong / or hash pipe going around, and being a small blue orb just screams tacky 'hippie' smoking paraphanalia.

Of course, that's not to say they aren't also ingesting all manner of stuff. If you know your crack heads from your e-heads and potheads etc then assume they are and if they are being disruptive in your neighbourhood report them for that.

Absolutely none of that answers your question though! I don't think crack burns blue. But then, where I'm from the craic is great but you see very little crack.
