What's the cutest thing in the world?

I'm looking for a birthday present for a friend and am a little bit stuck. I want the cutest, most adoreable thing possible; my only condition is that it not be alive - no puppies or baby chicks. Any ideas?

i think anything TOKIDOKI is the cutest thing on earth!
i'm partial to the toys at the bottom of the page.

This thread has just reminded me of something...

Parapluesch [flash] is the cutest site ever, a mental hospital for cuddly toys where you can play therapist.
And you can buy them too. This may not be quite so good if you haven't played the game, but a "plush crocodile with paranoid psychosis" is cute anyway.

This in turn has reminded me that pretty much everything from My Paper Crane is incredibly cute.

Does said friend like dogs? The Dog has the greatest calenders, in every breed imaginable. They really capture the adorable awkward puppyness of each breed.

As mentioned above, while on the surface they might not seem cute, in person, Ugly Dolls are cute squared, there's just something about them.

I checked out the Cutestthingever link, and I have an idea. They have a shop where they have shirts that say "Cutest Thing Ever". Maybe you can get your friend a shirt or something, and she can actually BE the cutest thing ever when she wears it?

Visit Pancake Meow and pick a few of Leslie's incredibly realistic scented clay edible jewelry items. I have seen (and sniffed) her stock in person and it is astonishing! How she gets clay to have little bubbles like baked cake is one of the world's cutest mysteries.
