Point me at a quick&dirty company directory app

Can someone suggest a lightweight app (preferably *AMP platform) for user-editable profiles and photos?

Our company has grown big enough that we now don't all know each other, particularly since we're spread across two completely separate offices, albeit right next door to each other. So I'd like to set up something quick and dirty to provide a photo directory with some additional little details, preferably self-editable.

I don't care about signups or authentication in any serious way - it's going to be all internal and I'll happily lay the smackdown based on IP if someone misbehaves, though that's unlikely. I do care about quick & easy, both for me (since I can't divert from billable work to do this) and for the users, who will run the gamut from computer genius to office assistant. My intent is to let people upload their own photo of choice so there's no I-hate-my-id-picture whining.

I could set up gallery with all the ID pictures but something a little more 'fun' and snazzier looking (without my spending time editing templates) and user-maintained would be fun.

Suggestions?

We use MediaWiki for this kind of thing. We have a simple template that is the default for profiles but you can put whatever you want, and upload photos. We also use it for all our other wiki needs. Might be a bit of overkill for you?

I have used both Wordpress and Mediawiki for this kind of applications. Both are user friendly enough to let users quickly update their own info. If you just want to make a facebook, Mediawiki may be the fastest way to get started, but if you want to integrate it in, say, an intranet/company weblog, Wordpress is my weapon of choice.

If you want to see some examples, feel free to send me a mail (address in profile).
