How doi I export a playlist as a single WAV file

I am looking to export an entire playlist to one .wav file. I am willing to download and install any software that is necessary to do so.

I am a voiceover artist making a demo. It would be easier for me to rearrange and sequence my character voices in a playlist rather then moving the actual files around in an audio editing program.

I know that winamp used to let you do export you playlist as a single file. I downloaded it and searched through the available plugins but couldn't find a solution.

Anyone have any ideas?

Audacity has worked like a charm for me, even incorporating some audio editing features for free.

And I completely misread your question. If you don't want to fuss with dragging files, then I can't help you.

you can do it in winamp using a plugin that comes bundled called "Nullsoft Disk Writer". there are directions here.

Traktor DJ Studio. I've used it to make hour-long mixes. You can create playlists and, if you are feeling groovy, do transitions, crossfading, bpm matching etc. Records your actions as a macro or records the mixing live. (if recorded as a macro you can edit it and then export it as a .wav).

It's not free though.

Nullsoft Disk Writer will do what you want if you enable "Single File Mode" from the plugin configuration. Some versions of Nullsoft Disk Writer may not have this mode (?).

Also, the WinAmp plugin SqrSoft ACF Disc Writer is an output plugin that does what you want. You can uncheck the option "Write multiple wave files" and it will write your playlist as one long WAV file instead of multiple WAV files. You can also configure the amount and type of crossfading between tracks, or configure it for no crossfading.

There is an equivalent plugin SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading Output that does the same thing for playback, but for WAV files you want the Disc Writer one.

One more note: the Basic "Lite" version of Winamp does not come with Nullsoft Disk Writer. The Basic "Full" version includes it.
