Help me Denver MeFi's!!!

I'm flying into Denver tomorrow (Wednesday) for a friend's wedding in Ridgeway Colorado on Thursday only I forgot to make a car reservation, and I have just learned that ALL the car rental companys (hertz, budget, avis, enterprise, alamo, thrifty, advantage, dollar, payless, national) serving the airport are sold out until Thursday morning.....
Three questions:
1. Anyone know a local car rental place in Denver that conventioneers can't track down so easily on the web?
2. I might have to stay in Denver till Thursday morning, and all the major hotels are sold out too - anyone know a funky "off the beaten track' hotel or bed & breakfast I could try to book?
3. What the heck is going on in Denver tomorrow!!@$)!#@*$()#@$

Hi Extra. 1) I'm looking for a couple of places that I know as far as hotels go. More to come here. 2) Have you checked Enterprise locations off the airport? 3) There is a big convention here in town this week.

P.S. Both locations are just off US Highway 6, which intersects nearby with I-70.

Best answer: Here's a cheap thought: Why not take the bus from the airport to downtown Denver and walk a few blocks over to Enterprise on 15th and Stout? I just checked their website and they have plenty of cars available.

Here's the local bus site. Look at SkyRide under the schedules. I think you want the Cold Spring/Downtown route. It'll drop you off at Market St. Station and you can take a free shuttle up the walking mall there to Stout.

As far as hotels go, what about renting a hotel in a Denver suburb like Englewood or Littleton? It wouldn't be too much of a drive from your rental place.

Good luck!

Response by poster: Thanks Dunderhead and Littlegirlblue....I thought I asked all of the rental companies about other Denver locations, but I guess I missed Enterprise, and thankfully they do have a car - You all really helped to save the trip for me!!

(moral of the story - make car reservations way ahead of time next trip!!!)

That is quite a drive, a beautiful drive, but you could fly a regional airline to Montrose Co. and rent a car there.
