Does anyone know a good lower back specialist in the Tri-State area?

I have two herniations (at L4-L5 and L5-S1), a lot of sciatic pain and some troubling numbness. I need someone I can trust, to help me understand my treatment options and keep me from freaking out about cauda equina syndrome.

I live in Princeton, New Jersey, but if I have to choose I prefer a good doctor over a nearby one. Bonus points if they take AmeriHealth insurance.

Best answer: In Manhattan, I went to these guys. I recommend, particularly Dr. Kim. I actually eventually had to have surgery at L5-S1, and am now in physical therapy. I had the surgery done outside NYC for personal reasons, but leading they were the ones who diagnosed the problem and gave me some epidurals before it became necessary. Don't know about the insurance, though.
