FireFox Behaving Oddly

Just a routine day spent browsing...and then FireFox got weird...
First, rest assured that I did indeed scan many, many FireFox AskMe Q&As before posting this.
Running current FireFox, with just a handful of extensions (web dev, bloglines, inform, etc), and only a few Themes. About four days ago - for literally no apparent reason - it got odd. First, when I open it, it doesn't open to maximized view. Second, it opens with THREE toolbars in place: bookmarks, web dev, and navigation. I have *never* used any toolbars other than the navigation bar.
I have not installed any new software/programs/etc recently. I have not tinkered under the hood of FireFox at all.
Any ideas?
