RalphRecordsFilter: How did Snakefinger get his guitar to sound like that?

I don't play guitar, but I would still love to know how the late Snakefinger managed to make his guitar sound the way it did. I don't know of any other guitarist who sounds like him.

I had a quick look around on the web and I think the answer might be that he seemed to double his guitar with synth and horn lines. Any help?

Best answer: I hear octave and vibrato/tremelo effects. Maybe a little chorus or phaser as well. You want it wobbly and alien sounding.

Best answer: PS: Some of the solos sound like he was using an Eventide Harmonizer (the H910 and H949 were from that era).
