Convert video+ppt to mp4 for Ipod?

How do I convert a window media presentation (AVI + PPT presentation) to a single MP4 file to play back on an iPod?
Basically I have a bunch of these presentations where the presenter was filmed using a web cam.
These videos were then synchronised with the slides being presented. the whole output is a bunch of htm files with an asx and javascript controlling the timing. I *think* it was done using Powerpoint Producer 2003.
What I want to do is grab everything adn convert it to a MP4 file that I can then run on an iPod. Any ideas? I don't want to just convert the video, thats easy - I need those slides as well.

You could record it all as an AVI with FRAPS then reencode to MP4. I'm not sure how well it would turn out though.

This is a guide for converting a PPT to DVD, but the same principle applies using Camtasia to record the presentation. Check it out, hope it works for you:

You'll need to brng the video (the extremely low res cam video) into some editing software; then you'll manually import the pp slides (which may have sizing/color problems). You'll then manually sync each slide to the corresponding part of the speech in your video editing app. Then you'll, at the very last step, convert for ipod.
