What are some totally awesome things to do in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
I'm headed for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Tuesday and I was wondering about unique experiences that are good for breaking up the monotony of suntanning.

When I was down there a few years ago, I loved hanging out in the little town of San Jose de Cabo. It was an old-school Mexican village. Watching the families and kids hang out in the square across from the church. Everyone festive and dressed up. A welcomed change from the Cabo Wabo and KFC littered Cabo San Lucas proper. I stayed at the Intercontinental so it was just down the street from the hotel so it was a nice walk.
I did a day trip up the coast in a rental car. This was in 1997 and it was pretty isolated. I imagined it was like the S. California coast was like before it the millions of people showed up. I drove back along the Sea of Cortez side. I loved it and to this day have not forgiven myself for not charging the batteries in my camera the night before.

We had a good time jetskiing and 4x4ing. A little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. We also got a guided hike north of Cabo about 40 minutes. It was great - had these natural pools we swam in and everything. Wish I could remember the name of the place that took us up there...

I'm watching this thread with interest. Can anyone recommend a quieter, less Americanized area in Cabo, if there is such a thing? I was thinking about checking out La Paz (two hours away) but am having a hard time finding good info.
