Name this song. I also have the song for you to listen to if you'd like to.

It's part of a larger mix by Dj Papa called the Art of Whistling. Found at:
http://post.thing.net/node/788

It's a 72mg download. The song in question starts at, 34:27. It's mostly some guy with a french accent and a guitar. It sounds older like it's from the 1960's or so but I could be wrong.

If you don't feel like downloading it, here are the lyrics as best as I could hear them which might not be that well. I tried searching for the lyrics but had no luck.

---Starts off whistling---

Bridge is next to bed in the dictionary
Another state of (something) for the legenendary
(something) still remains
Twisted legacy of fame
Shunning words that loved too much
Avoiding eyes that wanted to touch
Inside her fortress (something)
Keeping jackel pressed at bay

---Whistling---

All alone and in the dark
(something) to take the world to task
She tries so hard to please
Knowing lifes insanties
Cleaning up her act she says
Lets pick the litter from the bay

---Whistling---

Bridge is next to bed in the dictionary
another state of (something) for the legendary

---Song fades into the orchestra and continues on with the rest of the mix---

Anyone who feels like listening to the song can you recommend any other people that I might enjoy if I like this?

Sounds just like Kevin Ayres: I don’t know the song though, or if it’s off one of his solo albums or not.

Damn! I missed the recommendations part: there’s a very good ‘best-of’ compilation of his stuff you might try.

Best answer: Sounds like the song "Bardot" by Marden Hill. You're misunderstanding Brigitte (Bardot, natch), as bridge. If you want a direct link to the song with credit's, it can be found here.

The "Lost Weekend" album by Marden Hill with Bardot as one of the tracks is available at Amazon if ya want.

If you're in the UK, ring 2580 on your mobile phone and play the bit you want to identify. It should text you back with the right answer. I think it costs around 50p. Incredibly useful service.
