What are some PC games like Little Gator Game?

In a previous question I was recommended Little Gator Game for my kids. Unexpectedly, my 4 year old fallen in love with it and finished it very thoroughly, so now I'm on the lookout for similar games. All my internet searches are turning up games that, while looking charming, are probably too complicated for a 4 year old to mess around in.
It turns out that Little Gator Game is perfect for a 4 year old who was feeling left out that his older brothers got gaming time and he didn't, so over the course of a few weeks he's 100% completed the game - with adults helping with the reading. I'm looking for anything that's easy to pick up but doesn't present any real challenge and doesn't necessarily need an adult hovering to help.
The Lego Games sound like they'd be good but my older kids play them and they're definitely a bit too hard for my youngest.
I'm planning on trying out A Short Hike because that looks pretty similar but I'm hoping there's more out there!

The Putt-Putt series is aimed at ages 3 to 8. Games are short but somewhat replayable. Series for older kids from the same company are Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam, and Spy Fox. These games are old, they started coming out in the 90s, but they may be available on newer platforms.

Yes, Short Hike. Also Unpacking
Piku Niku is good, but slightly more stressful
This is a horribly underserved genre

Sticking with the alligator theme, Later, Alligator is an impossibly charming point-and-click adventure designed and animated by Smallbu, the two-animator studio behind the boneless superhero series Baman Piderman.

Mika and the Witch's Mountain maybe? I haven't played it but it seems similar to little gator. And yes absolutely get A Short Hike. And they are all similar to Zelda: Wind Waker, which also might be worth checking out, though he probably won't finish it at age 4. The nice thing here is that it's like buying a winter coat for a kid: it's fine if it's a little big, they can always grow into it!

Best answer: Oh also Little Mouse's Encyclopedia! It's less of a full game (mostly just exploring) but very sweet and beautiful and educational.

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions. There really isn't that much out there! They really hit it out of the park with Little Gator Game, hopefully it promotes other game studios making similar things.

No release date yet (nor price), but you and the kiddo might be pleased to learn that it looks like Lil Gator is now set to get a big expansion, doubling the size of the original: Lil Gator Game: In the Dark.
