I'm not saying what's something that #27 on a world pizza list. Or really good coffee. I mean what's a food in a specific niche, that's generally, if not universally acknowledged to be the best there is on the planet AND it's in the borough of Brooklyn? Restaurant OR grocery OR food manufacturer.

Anthony Bourdain called Di Fara pizza in Brooklyn the "best of the best" (and I've heard a lot of people echo his opinion).

Most of the best food in Brooklyn is international so you can't say it's going to be the best in the world because its best version is probably somewhere in its original country. I say this as someone who grew up in Brooklyn who is very proud of the deliciousness of the borough.
However, there is an exception. It is a truth universally acknowledged that the best cheesecake in the world is Junior's.
Also, I would buy it that the best pizza could be in Brooklyn maybe except it was better in Rome and Naples.

Shalom Japan may be the only Ashkenazi-Japanese fusion in the world, and therefore, by default, the best?

I don't know that it's still great, or even very good, but a lot of people consider Peter Luger to be THE steakhouse.

I can vouch for bagels from Smith Street bagels being pretty darn close to the best in the world.

Tanoreen is widely considered to have the best Palestinian food in the US, and it's in Brooklyn.

Junior's cheesecake is absolutely the best cheesecake in the world and I will fight you to the death with forks if you disagree.
