My hotspot data link on my laptop keeps migrating to my home router.

I have a wireless data plan from AIS [Thailand] with abundant and fast 5G data.
I prefer to hotspot my laptop to this data link.
But when I am in my apartment with another wireless link, the hotspot AIS data link without my bidding migrates to this apartment link which is much slower.
How can I stop this?
The first thing I would try is to tell your laptop to forget about your apartment network. If it doesn't know the network (and doesn't have the password) it won't be willing or able to log into it.

Response by poster: How exactly do I "tell my laptop to forget my apartment network"?
I suppose I could just unplug it until I need it. That's one way.

Best answer: How exactly do I "tell my laptop to forget my apartment network"?
On a Mac, open Wi-Fi Settings, look under "Known Networks" and select "Forget this network..." in the other options for the network you want to forget. (Known Networks will only show the networks that your laptop can currently see.)
I'm guessing it'll be not too different on Windows but you never know.

How to delete a wifi network in Windows 10.
Alternatively you can just deselect "Connect automatically" (option visible in the screenshot on that link) which will mean it will only connect to that network when you tell it to, and you won't have to reenter the password.
