A recent podcast about water related fraud in the USA

In the past two weeks I've had a podcast episode promoted to me, possibly from within Spotify, but maybe elsewhere. In broad terms the story covered in the episode was about a small group of people who were falsifying results from water treatment/processing devices to their financial gain, this was happening in the USA. I'd like to find this podcast. There's more of what I remember inside.

What I can definitely remember about the subject matter of this podcast is : it involved fraudulent activity; it involved water; it occurred in the USA.

What I think I can remember : it involved manipulating devices which measured water (either quantity or purity); the actions took place in Texas, or Nebraska (I know they're not close to each other but is just what I think I can recall).

What I'm less certain about : it may have involved some sort of tax rebate; it occurred in a rural area; by making the water seem more or less pure there was (criminal) money to be made.

I have searched but not found, if anyone with superior search skills could find it I would be grateful.

Response by poster: Thanks box, I'm sure that's the same story and the article linked to provides lots of details. Thanks again.
