Is the Vasari Corridor now open?

Planning a visit to Florence in October and would like to see the Vasari Corridor. They've been doing a renovation for several years and I believe it was to be completed this spring. Info on the Uffizi site is not clear about this.
The Uffizi site has a page dedicated to the corridor, but no recent updates. I've received one or two of their newsletters, but they do not shed any new light. Other Florence ticket/tour sites seem to be selling tickets as if it was open now, but many have sketchy reviews. My question is whether you have visited the Vasari Corridor this year and what was your experience acquiring tickets? Thanks.

Best answer: This article from May 23 states that it us unlikely to open before September and probably not even before the end of this year.
