Recommended resources about artist's books

One of my goals this year is to create a short artist's book using linocut.
Can you recommend artists who've produced short format artist's books, especially those that use relatively achievable binding methods?
Paula Rego and William Kentridge are big influences, so it would be great to find some powerful concept-driven work rather than the type of motif-based illustration that's found all over YouTube.
I'd also love to find good resources on lettering methods and making decisions on numbered editions.

Best answer: The Century of Artist's Books by Johanna Drucker This is another nice comprehensive review of works.

Best answer: Sounds like a fun project. I like following Book Arts Review and the programming (exhibitions, workshops, & artists-in-residence) at Center for Book Arts.

MOMA: A century of Artist's Books
Kitty Maryatt This woman taught handmade bookmaking at the college level for many years and has an enormous collection of book projects she made in collaboration with many colleges, small presses and lettering societies.
