Flushometer Replacement in NYC

What does it cost to get a residential flushometer replaced in NYC?

We got a quote of approx $1000 for a flushometer replacement for a tankless toilet in an NYC apartment from a legitimate, personally recommended plumbing company who we've worked with before and who guarantee their work. I just want to sanity-check this quote. If it's a bit high that's fine but if it's way out there I want to know.

(We definitely can't DIY this because it requires a water shutdown to the entire apartment line.)

Looks like a basic flushometer is around 200 bucks for parts. 600 for labor in NYC seems entirely possible, especially since you have to shut down the whole building’s water. You might consider asking them to put in a new valve while they are at it so that in the future the whole building doesn’t have to be shut down.
