Cameo from Supernatural actor

Are you a fan of the tv show Supernatural? Which of these actors on Cameo would you want a Cameo from?

My sister is a superfan of Supernatural. She goes to fan conventions and stuff. I want to get her a Cameo for her 50th birthday.

I literally didn't know the show even existed until recently and know very little about it. I know the two main stars are Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, but they aren't available on Cameo.

If you are a fan of the show, which of the people on Cameo would you want a Cameo from?

I guess I'm looking for the most "main" character of these options, not whatever your favorite 1 episode deep cut bit character was. Who is instantly recognizable and would a fan like?

Alternatively, anyone with connections to Jensen Ackles or Jared Padalecki?

I understand there may be different opinions, but looking to see if anything rises to the top as a favorite. Thanks!

Best answer: Mark Sheppard (Crowley, more or less a main character for the last half of the show's run), Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer), Osric Chau (Kevin).

Best answer: Mark Sheppard, Kim Rhodes, DJ Qualls, Osric Chau, and Samantha Smith (in order of appearance in the list, I don't have a priority order among them) seem like the best options.

Kim Rhodes in particular has been very kind and engaged with fans, but I have the sense that all of them are good in that way. It's not impossible that your sister has engaged personally with some of them at conventions (if she's ever talked about doing a sleepover event at a convention, those are with Kim).

Mark Sheppard is probably the most iconic character of them all. Kim Rhodes, possibly one of the most beloved. DJ Qualls' character is a smaller character but hilarious and wholesome -- one of my favorites -- if your sister tends to like the fun/goofy episodes, he could be a good choice. Osric and Samantha both have sadder story lines that were absolutely pivotal to plot movement in the show, so if your sister enjoys the sadder/more serious episodes, you could try one of them.

On preview, agree that Mark Pellegrino is a major character, but I'm leaving him off my list because he seems kind of jerky in real life (not based on much, so take this for what it's worth as a random person on the internet opining on celebrities).

Best answer: I'm not a superfan. I came to the show late in life, watched it during the pandemic. I've only seen it once. I'm just laying that out there so you understand where I'm coming from and my point of view, which is very different from your sister's. Given that, I'd suggest Mark Sheppard, not only for the role he played, but also because I suspect that his delivery/performance would be entertaining.

Kim Rhodes would probably be my second pick.

Samantha Smith, Osric Chau, Mark Pellegrino, Emily Swallow. DJ Qualls, and Ty Olsen are also decent choices (although I'd put the caveat out there that I think there may be some regulars whose political viewpoints you may disagree with. IIRC, I read a discussion here on FanFare about Mark Pellegrino, but you should double check that kind of thing yourself.)

Best answer: Mark Shephard for sure - great with fans and his character is a beloved villain. Pellagrino has a very mixed reputation, I would avoid unless you knew she was a Lucifer super-fan. DJ Qualls is a sweetie and so is Kim Rhodes for fans. This is so thoughtful of you!

As she's a superfan, I wouldn't try buying her merchandise or tickets - she is highly likely to have some or have strong opinions about what you get her. A Cameo by Shephard is always going to make a Supernatural fan happy.

Best answer: Nthing the Mark Sheppard recommendations -- if you watched Leverage, by any chance, he had a recurring role as the team's nemesis, and was terrific -- for his wicked British accent and major role on the show.

Offbeat suggestion -- I'm sort of second-degree separation to Jim Beaver, who played the brothers' mentor/father figure Bobby Singer. Probably the #3 star of the show. He's a great guy and a terrific follow on social media. He apparently used to be on Cameo, but isn't currently. (He announced in February he was now cancer-free after surgery and chemotherapy, but is also scheduled for a fan convention in the spring, so I think he's OK.)

Anyway, Cameo lets you "follow" someone to see if they become available again. If the birthday isn't around the corner -- or if you want to plan for next year -- you might want to follow him and see if he returns.

Best answer: Absolutely Mark Sheppard. In fact, I'm surprised he's only that much and am now getting one for my BFF.

Best answer: Mark Sheppard 100% (he's also recognizable from a ton of other shows, including Battlestar Galactica, Doom Patrol, and even an early X-Files episode).

Aside from the aforementioned Jim Beaver, the only other actor with more presence for a fan would probably be Misha Collins (who has done Cameos before too).

(Also a hard no on Mark Pellegrino, for reasons.)

how could I forget Misha Collins, who is also a great folo on social media AND went to my high school's sports rival?
(the videos of him cooking with his children are some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen.) if he's available he'd be great too.
PS just spotted Jim Beaver on social media. He's in Paris with his daughter. Looks happy and healthy. Sorry if I scared anyone.

Did Pellegrino go full Adam Baldwin? If so, I am not surprised by that.
