Men's Pants for Hot Tropical Climate

Searching for men's pants for hot tropical climate. Something breezy and cool. Ideally, something that won't fall down when having a super heavy phone in my pocket! Maybe something like Thai Fisherman pants that are better constructed? Bonus points for a breezy men's shirt that is white and affordable. I will be staying at monasteries where the color combination is white shirt and black pants.

Best answer: Can you wait until your destination to make the purchase? The nicest breezy linen pants I have, and the softest cotton shirts I own, I bought in Nepal. Often the best place to get clothes suited for the tropics is... in the tropics.

^And something like a separate waist pouch for the heavy phone? Stashbanz ("sport performance moisture wicking fabric keeps you dry and cool") is one example.

A cotton/linen blend is what you want, but we're moving into fall, so they are hard to find. I've just done this for my upcoming trip and settled on a couple of pairs from here: https://www.quince.com/men/pants-and-shorts. They also offer linen shirts. If $50 is too rich for you, there are plenty of options on Amazon, but the quality looks pretty sketchy.Quince claims to be ethical in sourcing and shipping, FWIW.

I've got a few pairs of these Columbia hiking pants. They are convertible, and have cargo pockets, so not super fancy. But they are very lightweight, very fast drying, and fairly durable.

I like these Eddie Bauer "Horizon Guide chino" pants – they are light and stretch a little, and have a subtle phone pocket on the right thigh seam.

Best answer: South Florida here. I rely on Cubavera linen and linen-cotton pants, broad range from formal pants to drawstring, and there's usually a good number of sale items, going for $25 to $50.
