Multi-monitor solutions these days

I have a laptop with only usb-c out, but a monitor like this. Do fancy modern screens let you daisy chain the trough the monitor itself?
I could, I suppose, attach a docking solution to the laptop, but what I’m asking is if the docking solutions in the monitor are enough.

Lenovo ThinkVision 27 inch Monitor - P27h-20 - does what you want. USB-c to computer, and a 2nd monitor can be chained via a display port cable. We're using these at work and they function quite well.

P27h-20 - super niche factoid but when daisy chaining these monitors, the throughput of the Ethernet port on the monitor is significantly impaired. So have another way to connect to the Internet. Otherwise, works as advertised!

I suspect it might also depend on what your laptop is, as to whether it can drive two screens.

Response by poster: Seems it's specifically this one I have .
supercres, I couldn't see from the one you linked if this has a matching spec for downtream monitor (thanks for that phrase). It has "DisplayPort output" which makes me think maybe yes?

According to the manual, you should be able to daisy chain a DisplayPort-connected monitor from your monitor when it is connected to your computer via DisplayPort or USB-C. I don't believe it offers the option of using the USB-C ports for output though.

Also - what kind of laptop? If it's a Mac, you're out of luck, they don't support DisplayPort MST.
