Music education charities?

Charities/non-profits related to music education?

I'm looking at potential charitable targets for a certain music compilation project. There have been a few suggestions so far, but one area I'm particularly interested in is music education and things related thereto.

Are you familiar with any charities/non-profits working in this area?

VH1's Save the Music is the first thing that comes to mind for me.

The first three links are for foundations I worked with a few years ago when I ran a music program for a non-profit.

These are foundations that we applied with but I don't recall if we got funding with them; I can't find a record of it if we did but I can find out if you like.

If you want some help with the grantwriting process, I'd be honestly happy to help.

Probably not exactly what you are looking for but Tipitina's Foundation does do (at least according to the website) some music education in New Orleans.

Not education, exactly, but Sweet Relief and Rock for Kids are two I'd suggest that are music-related.

Not precisely music education, but Up With People's programs combine music and the performing arts with experiential education and community service.
