Tutorial for Implementing eCard Functionality on Website?

I've been asked to install an 'e-card' function on a friend's website. I've never really used or sent them, so it's unfamiliar. Would anyone be able to recommend a good tutorial?

Here's a tutorial for MySQL/PHP. Or, here's one (again PHP/MySQL) that's already done if you don't want to bother. Otherwise, there are services that will host them and place their ads, you know the drill.

i've been using jason's postcard scripts since 99. it's easy cgi driven stuff. there isn't a tutorial, but given the simplicity of installation, i'm not sure that you'd need one. you can see the results here ("send this photo") and here.

I recently did a pretty much comprehensive survey of every piece of e-card software I could find, for a site related to national parks I was working on.

After testing for several days, I decided to go with "gCards," and I've been happy with it ever since.
