You controlled a creature made of symbols (or something- very abstract). You ate other creatures and they came apart into pieces. As you progressed you grew in size and things got more difficult and the screen got darker like you were descending into deeper water. What was it?

Similar to games like slither.io, but way earlier and more arty, and not multiplayer.

Best answer: Sounds a lot like Flow (2006)! Even if not, you should check it out, official site here.

(I didn't see an easy way to play it or buy it on modern pcs, would be interested to try again if anyone finds anything!)
