Teams screen sharing issue

When I share my screen to do a demo on Teams, my cursor does not show up in the correct place for viewers.

This issue has happened recently in two situations: one, I was doing a demo on my laptop in the same conference room as the participants, sharing my screen to a TV monitor in the room. The other time, I was sharing my screen remotely from my laptop to viewers who were watching on their laptops.

What happens is: I share my laptop screen in a Teams meeting to demo some processes in my CRM. Looking at my laptop, I click on a link to show the viewers how to (for example) open an account record. On my screen I am clicking the link; on the viewer's screen, my cursor appears a considerable distance to the left of the link so they don't know what I'm actually clicking on.

The CRM itself lives on the internet and I am using Chrome to access it, if that makes a difference.

Any idea what is happening?

Problems with the cursor showing up can often be fixed by lowering your screen resolution/refresh rate. This isn't ideal and there should be a way to just make it all work properly, but if you want a quick fix without reinstalling drivers etc it is worth a try.
