Waring blender 51bl25 glass container wobbles?

My Reason for Living just picked up a Waring blender model 51bl25 on Marketplace. The glass container does not seem stable when placed on its base.

We've looked at the parts diagram online and cannot identify any missing parts, but it feels almost as unstable as I am. Is this normal? Is there something we're missing?

What do you mean? I've used these and they just kind of rest on the base, no lock in, but it's fine?

Response by poster: With other blenders in our experience the blender vessel sits snugly onto the base. With this blender the vessel wobbles when it's on the base, almost to the point where it seems as if I didn't stabilize it with my hand it could fall over. I'm wondering if this is normal with this model of blender or if we're missing something.

Do you mean the glass container onto the plastic base that fits into the blender motor assembly?
Check to see if your gasket is present, flat, and in the right place. The gasket should go in so that it touches the glass, assuming it's like the blender I have.
After that, consider whether there's a manufacturing defect or it's just cheaply made. I'd check to see if the threads molded into the glass match the ones molded into the plastic base.

Is it possibly not a Waring part but a 3rd party knockoff? It's amazing how many repair parts are "fake".
