Sometimes I want to be basic

Facebook's mbasic has stopped working on my phone, all of a sudden about a day ago. It says the website I'm looking at is mbasic.facebook.com, but the interface is the non-basic mobile interface. I deleted cookies, site data, and cached images and files (I haven't tried deleting browser history yet). I tried a different browser (Safari instead of Chrome). The problem persists. I can still use mbasic on my laptop's browser, however. How do I get back to mbasic on my phone?

Best answer: Have you tried the "Desktop Site" option in the Chrome overflow menu on your phone? That might narrow things down some.

Best answer: Might be something on Meta's end. I usually use m.facebook.com on my mobile browser, and in the last week it's been all kinds of buggy, not loading or refusing to sort by most recent, even in desktop mode. And the regular version on (real) desktop has also changed display formats and been buggy too.

Response by poster: Combo of "Desktop Site" and clearing browser data again seems to have worked, thanks! Helpful to know that they're in the middle of some annoying and buggy update though, and it's not just me; also thanks!

Best answer: Downdector is showing multiple problems with Facebook at the moment. I also saw an announcement on one of the large groups I follow that the admins are encountering significant issues.
