Combining information from two Android phones

I have two Android phones that I've used, at different (non-overlapping) times. How can I transfer everything from one to the other?

I'd like messages, call history, app data, etc to all be up to date on one of the phones (ideally the older one). What's the easiest way to do this when I'm not transferring to a brand new phone?

If they're Samsung phones, Samsung Smart Switch.

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this and it copied over apps and settings but not text messages or app data that's not cloud synced. I can deal with these one by one, but if there are other suggestions to get everything at once I would appreciate them.
