Can I eat this? Dried Apricot Edition

I left two pounds of dried apricots in a metal mailbox for two days in eighty-degree heat. They were sealed in plastic. When I retrieved them it was like holding a radiating heat pack. It's dried fruit; it's gotta be ok to eat, right? Right? They went into the freezer.

They are fine. They had worse when they were sitting in a shipping container in Istanbul for a few weeks or months.

Yeah, totally - you don't need to keep them in the freezer either.

I'd eat those with no concern whatsoever.
